It is worth noting that your Apple AirPods may be connected right to your MacBook. However, Apple AirPods has a special type of connection with the iPhone. And that’s because all new iPhone have a special audio processing chip. These work with Apple AirPods to play audio with clear and more crypt sounding quality on the iPhone. Apple AirPods still looks great no matter what device you hook them up they have not added “oomph” yet which can provide audio processing chip in the iPhone.
Connect iCloud and Apple AirPods
If you have already connected your Apple AirPods to your iPhone, and you are logged in to your iCloud account on all devices, then using your Apple AirPods with your MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro is really easy – Even your Mac Pro or iMac.
Go to the Apple computer of your choice, and then log in with your username and password. Once you get there and you are ready to use Apple AirPods, you want to hit the Bluetooth button in the top right corner of the screen in the menu bar. Once you click on that Bluetooth button, you can scroll through the list of available Bluetooth devices only and select your Apple AirPods. If they are already being used with your iPhone, it will disconnect them from the iPhone and transfer them to the Apple computer of your choice. Once you use your computer and turn off the lid, you can use your Apple AirPods normally with your iPhone.
Without the Previous Connection of Apple and iCloud
If you have not previously connected your Apple AirPods to your iPhone, or you are not just viewing the connection in the Bluetooth menu, then we have to do some manual work to connect your Apple AirPods to one of your MacBook device. The first step is logging in to your Mac device, and then goes to System Preference section. From there, click on Bluetooth selection. Now, to turn Bluetooth into a “current” position, press the white button on the left side of the panel. Once “on”, we can start the pairing process between your Apple AirPods and Mac.
Now, grab your air pods and open the case. Next, hold the white button around the back of the case – to start the coupling process should be three seconds enough. The pairing process is a good sign of starting if you see the status light in white. Once you do, you should show Apple AirPods in the Bluetooth section of System Preferences.
If you do this, press the Blue Connect button to add your Mac with your Apple AirPods. It may take a second, but once you do this, your Apple AirPods should not only be linked to your Mac but also your entire iCloud account. This means that, if you have not connected them before your iPhone or iPad, then when you are using one or the other device after putting it in your ear, they should automatically connect – although you actually in this you have to manually select the iPad from the Bluetooth menu.
