YouTube on Amazon Fire TV

How to watch YouTube on Fire TV (Download Firefox)

Amazon Fire TV is one of the better-rounded and smart TV platforms you can use to fix your entertainment. Except this, there is a problem – thanks to Google and Amazon’s competitive relationships, YouTube is not available for this. This does not mean that you are missing the world’s most popular video platform, but if you are a YouTube TV subscriber, then that means Fire TV is a total non-starter for you. Due to corporate squabble, you will not be able to see the TV with your chosen service. There is a way to get YouTube and YouTube TV action on your fire TV.

How to watch YouTube on Amazon Fire TV

Amazon Fire TV’s App Store does not feature games and streaming apps because it also has other apps, like Web Browser. And, as we all know, YouTube is a website that runs on a web browser. First of all, let’s look at the ghosts of the YouTube app of Fire TV. It is available on Fire TV and Fire TV Cube, which offers 4K views.

  • Head of the app on the home screen – this is the second-to-last option.
  • Go to Featured.
  • Scroll down apps with 4K content.
  • Tab the YouTube tile and click it

Now, it looks like a page for the YouTube app, but do not be too excited, because it’s just a ghost. If you click on the Open, you will be brought to a page which says something about its effect: Access YouTube and other websites from a web browser.

If you do not want to download the Firefox app through the above method, there are a few different ways that you can download it:

1. On the Fire TV, click on the search box and type “Firefox”.

2. Choose Firefox for Fire TV.

3. Click on the gate.

Alternatively, you can hold the microphone button on your Alexa Remote and just say “Firefox”. Or, you can go to Amazon’s website and search for “Firefox for Fire TVs”.

After Firefox is installed for Fire TV, go ahead and open the app. You will see that the first option is YouTube, which is probably not an accident. One reason for app descriptive is “Watch video from popular sites” (it used to say “Watch videos from YouTube and other popular sites”). All you have to do is sign in and you are ready to go with all your subscriptions. If you’ve got a YouTube TV, you have to type tv.youtube.com in the address bar and then sign in from there.

Which browser should you play on YouTube?

Once you are in the previous step, you will be presented with two options: Visit YouTube.com with Silk on YouTube.com or with Firefox. Either clicking will take you to the browser page on the Fire TV App Store.

Silk Amazon has its own browser, and technically – you’ve already added it to your app library. All you have to do is download it on your Fire TV. You need to download the latest Firefox. So, what browser do you use?

Silk is a great browser, and it will play YouTube well – but it will not run on YouTube TV. There are only two browsers that currently support YouTube TV: Chrome and Firefox. Some fire TV fans have had the success of using Silk for YouTube TVs, but that success includes broken scrolling.  So, in fact, a better experience for YouTube is Firefox for the Fire TV app. Not only does it keep a YouTube bookmark in front and center, but you will also find a great YouTube TV experience. In addition, according to most accounts, Firefox is better optimized for YouTube. You will face more buffering with silk.
