Reset Amazon Echo First Generation– Take a small paper clip and then press and hold the reset button on the echo device. After that wait till the Echo light ring turns OFF and ON again.

Reset Amazon Echo Second Generation– Factory Data Reset of Echo 2^nd Generation is different from its 1^st one. To reset Echo 2^nd Generation, you need to press and hold the microphone and volume down button at the same time. Once done, please wait till the light ring turns orange color. This may take approx 20 seconds to complete the reset process.

In a way to reset Amazon Echo Dot devices, here are the steps:

Reset Amazon Echo Dot Second Generation: To reset Echo Dot 2^nd Generation, follow the same steps as for Echo 2^nd Generation which is press and hold microphone and volume down button at the same time. Wait till the light turns orange.

Reset Amazon Echo Dot Third Generation: To reset Echo Dot 3^rd Generation, you need to press and hold the action button at least for 25 seconds. You would see the action button on top of the device.

Amazon Echo Plus also comes with two models one is Amazon Echo Plus 1^st Generation and another 2ndr Generation.

Reset Amazon Echo Plus First Generation: Take a small paper clip or something similar to that. Using that paper clip press the Reset button and instant release it. You have to wait till the ring light on echo plus device turns OFF and ON again.

Reset Amazon Echo Plus Second Generation: In an order to reset Echo Plus 2^nd Generation, kindly press and hold an action button for at least 20 seconds. Once the process done wait till the light ring on Echo plus turns OFF and ON again.

How to Reset Echo Show or Echo Spot

In a way to reset Echo Show 2^nd Generation, you just need to follow few simple steps using your voice. To start reset process say “Alexa, Go to Settings” or you can do it manually by swapping down the screen and choose “Settings”. After that, step ahead to “Device Options” and then choose “Reset to Factory Defaults”. By selecting this FDR option, all the data, personal information and settings will get erase.
